The city of Snowshoe, located in West Virginia, is one of the of the most popular winter destinations in the United States. Known for its charm and incredible ski resorts, Snowshoe is quickly climbing “top” lists. This year, Lonely Planet ranked them as #2 on their list of “Top 10 Destinations in 2022.” Though they are famous for their snow sports, there is a ton to do in other seasons as well. Summer is particularly beautiful here with expansive views of rolling hills and trees.
Mountain Crest 35 – 1 bed/1 bath
Mountain Crest is one of our smaller Snowshoe homes with just 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. However, it can accommodate up to 8 guests with a queen bed, two full beds, and a sleeper sofa. This home is nestled in a prime location, just a few feet from Powderidge lift and a short walk from the village. Here, you will be surrounded by beautiful treetops which is why this home is also nicknamed “The Treehouse.” This stunner is a steal for just around $250/night.
973 Hunter’s Ridge – 4 beds/3 baths
At Hunter’s Ridge, you will be spoiled by soaring cathedral ceilings, natural light, and lots of space. Coming in at around 3,550 square feet, you will find it easy to spread out or find privacy here. Additionally, there is about 1,500 sq ft. of front and rear decks! This home is a true cabin escape, located in a secluded and exclusive neighborhood called Hunter’s Ridge. Everything you need to make this your home away from home is available such as a kitchen fully stocked with appliances, gas grill, large dining table, outdoor fire pit, and more!
Soaring Eagle 404 – 3 beds/2 baths
Soaring Eagle is a breathtaking resort located at the highest point on Snowshoe mountain! This is a true ski in and ski out resort with the most incredible views from any condo you stay in. Featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, this home can accommodate up to 8 guests. Some of the perks of staying here are the luxurious amenities, courtesy of the resort. These include amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor hot tubs, and a restaurant and bar on site. Additionally, there is the Hearth Room. This room boasts oversized fireplaces and mountain top views you won’t find anywhere else!
Cardinal Retreat – 5 beds/4 baths
Cardinal Retreat in the winter time will make you feel like you’re living in a fairytale! This gorgeous 5 bedroom and 4 bathroom home fits up to 16 guests. Even with a full house, this spacious home will feel comfortable for your entire party. The incredibly high ceilings and large lot offers tons of room to spread out. In addition, this home boasts a hot tub, fire pit, large deck, and sweeping valley views! Though the winter time is particularly stunning, this home is perfect for all seasons.
Loggers Run 11 – 5 beds/3.5 baths
Loggers Run offers a rare view and situation overlooking the ski trails – you can literally park on one side of the home and ski on the other! This home is 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms which will accommodate up to 12 guests comfortable. Some features of this home include a gas fireplace, hot tub, ski in and ski out privileges, and more.
